Backed by leading investors and growing rapidly through acquisition, the business is building a modern, technology-enabled platform within a fragmented market. M&A sits at the heart of the growth strategy, and this role will focus on ensuring a constant flow of high-quality acquisition opportunities. This is not a traditional sales role. It sits within the M&A team and is focused on identifying, qualifying and building relationships with business owners who may become future acquisition targets. What you'll be doing: Identify and engage acquisition targets across the UK marketRun multi-channel outreach campaigns across phone, email, LinkedIn and industry eventsBuild relationships directly with business owners and key decision-makersQualify opportunities and assess strategic fit for acquisitionDevelop and maintain a detailed market map of target businessesResearch ownership structures, financial performance and operational characteristicsBuild simple financial models and assist with early-stage target evaluationWork closely with the M&A team as opportunities progress into diligence and executionRepresent the business at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities What you'll need: Strong business development, origination, corporate finance or M&A-related experienceExcellent communication skills and confidence speaking with business ownersCommercial and financial literacy with the ability to analyse business performanceStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple conversations simultaneouslyComfortable using CRM platforms, data tools and AI-enabled workflowsResilient, proactive and motivated by building opportunities from scratchInterest in acquisitions, investing, corporate development or private equity This role would suit someone who enjoys the commercial side of M&A, loves building relationships and wants to be directly involved in sourcing the deals that drive business growth.
