- This is an opportunity to be part of a great organisation where you will support our team at Hawkes Bay Regional Prison.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Must hold a current and valid forklift licence, essential.
Receiving and checking incoming goods against invoices or packing lists.
Placing items in designated storage areas.
Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Keeping track of stock levels and locations.
Performing regular stocktakes.
Assisting with data entry and paperwork.
Unloading deliveries from trucks and other vehicles.
Inspecting items for damage or discrepancies.
Reorganising storage areas.
Operating forklifts or pallet jacks to move items.
Ensuring safety procedures are followed.
Interacting with suppliers or customers regarding deliveries.
Supporting with general administration as per Administration Support Officer Job Description.
Some heavy lifting required.
This is a role with high expectations and performance standards, requiring the successful applicant to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while consistently meeting deadlines and operational requirements.

The preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Manaaki and respect for all that we deal with on a day-to-day basis.
Good experience and knowledge of office administration.
Resilience when dealing with difficult situations in changing environments and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
The ability to organise effectively, be adaptable, multi-task and meet deadlines.
The ability to be a strong team player who can work collaboratively across a dynamic team of administrators.
The ability to work with a wide range of people, from all walks of life, while maintaining a friendly and non-judgemental attitude.
A high level of integrity and the ability to maintain privacy while working with sensitive and personal information.
* Good knowledge of computer software and database systems including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), with the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Ngā painga | The benefits
The salary range is $64,717 - $68,434 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
