Job description - the role

What you’ll be doing

You will provide end-to-end support on incoming and outgoing payment operations, with administrative duties and provide investigative capacity to aid in processes such as payment recovery. You will also communicate with internal and external stakeholders to handle queries regarding client’s payments.

If you're highly organised, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and combine excellent attention to detail with great time-management, we'd love to hear from you.

The Retail Payments team within Payment Operations, forms a critical part of the end to end inwards and outwards payments investigation capability for hVM Retail customers (CHAPs, Bacs and Faster Payments).

This role supports the investigation and recovery of payments for our customers whether these payment instructions are initiated manually or online.

The role holder is required to engage with other Banks across the industry on queries raised on behalf of customers.

In addition, the role holder will investigate and respond to queries received from other Banks that impact our customers’ accounts.

About the client

Why work at Nationwide?

We're different from other financial service providers. We're a bank, owned by our customers. And for over 130 years, we've supported those customers to make the most of their money and achieve what they want from life.

That's reflected in the way we work here at Nationwide. We come together to make sure we're doing things in the best way possible, both for each other and for our customers. If you join us, you'll be part of that. You'll be able to help us build something really quite special. And you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference.

As a mutual organisation, we are guided by a social purpose which we interpret as 'Building Society, Nationwide'. A key element of fulfilling this purpose is employing a mix of people that reflect the wider communities that we serve.

On top of that, we always want you to be yourself. To use your skills and experience to make our Society stronger. To feel valued for who you are, not just what you do. Because here at Nationwide, we understand that we can do more together than we ever could alone.
