Automotive Service Technician Whangārei

Our client is seeking a skilled and qualified Automotive Service Technician to join their well-established and respected workshop in Whangārei.

This opportunity is suited to a trade-qualified technician who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, enjoys fault-finding and diagnostics and wants to be part of a supportive, professional team.

Applicants must currently reside in New Zealand and have full working rights. Local Northland-based candidates are strongly preferred.

About the Role

As a key member of the workshop team, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing and diagnosing a wide range of passenger vehicles while maintaining the high standards customers have come to expect.

Key Responsibilities

Perform servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles

Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults

Utilise modern diagnostic equipment and workshop technology

Complete work efficiently and to a high standard

Follow workshop processes and manufacturer specifications

Contribute to a positive team environment and customer-focused culture

What We're Looking For

NZ Level 4 or Level 5 Automotive Qualification (or equivalent recognised qualification)

Proven experience as an Automotive Technician

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship

Ability to work independently and within a team

Full New Zealand driver's license

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Must already be living and working in New Zealand
