Behavioural Science Analyst
Job Description
SCOR Management Services Ireland is hiring a fixed term behavioural science analyst for our Windmill Lane, Dublin 2 office. The Behavioural Modelling team combines behavioural science, insurance expertise and data-driven methods to improve decisions and customer outcomes. The role requires a behavioural insurance specialist who can work independently with underwriting, client and technology stakeholders, turn evidence into practical recommendations, and lead defined workstreams from diagnosis through implementation and measurement.
The successful candidate will apply behavioural insight to underwriting processes and disclosures, improve consumer digital journeys through research and experimentation, and support the responsible adoption of AI in business workflows.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Partner with underwriting teams to identify behavioural factors affecting disclosure, risk assessment, evidence collection and decision-making.
- Design and evaluate interventions that improve the quality, completeness and clarity of information provided during insurance underwriting.
- Map consumer digital journeys, identify behavioural friction and recommend improvements to conversion, engagement and customer understanding.
- Plan and deliver customer research, behavioural diagnostics, A/B tests and other experimental methodolgoies.
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data and translate findings into practical recommendations for insurance business and client teams.
- Develop frameworks and guidelines for identifying and prioritising AI use cases in actuarial workflows.
- Support AI pilots and adoption, including workflow design, user testing, change support, outcome measurement and consideration of behavioural and customer risks.
- Produce clear reports, guidance and thought-leadership materials.
- Communicate on the latest behavioural science research through virtual and in-person presentations for colleagues and client partners.
- Required experience & competencies
Experience
- Minimum two years’ professional experience in the insurance or reinsurance sector.
- Practical understanding of insurance underwriting processes, consumer journeys and insurance business workflows.
- Experience applying behavioural science, customer research, experimentation or data analysis to insurance problems.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and delivering projects with clear business outcomes.
- Exposure to AI-enabled tools, digital transformation or technology adoption initiatives is desirable.
Required Education
- Masters or similiar in Behavioural Economics, Psychology or Behavioural Finance
- Remuneration Package
- Salary €34,755
- Health insurance Min value €1,850
- Bonus 0-12%
- Pension Employer contribution 8% and Employee contribution 4%
- Full time - 37.5 hours.
