Our Marketing team sets product positioning and strategy, manages product launches, and gathers customer insights. We’re responsible for maximizing our products' potential, in order to delight our users and help Dropbox grow. We partner with teams across the company, including Product, Sales, and Engineering.

Role Description

As Dropbox continues to tell a compelling multi-product story to our key audiences, this is a unique opportunity for an experienced Brand Marketing professional to join the team and expand what the Dropbox brand means, how it is activated, and deploy integrated programs and brand experiences.

Our brand story is communicated holistically and imbued across every touchpoint of the customer journey. This role will be responsible for the strategy and execution of brand marketing programs and tactics addressing the critical audiences across their full customer journey. As the Head of Brand Marketing, you will lead a high-performing team to develop the brand strategy, budget, and resource allocation.

We are in the process of transforming what our brand means and your role is critical to ensure we are holding true to our brand ethos and building strong affinity with our key audiences. You will ensure consistent application of brand message across marketing practices and cost-efficiently deliver branded search growth and profitable ARR growth goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the brand marketing strategy by the audience based on business needs and product roadmap that ladders into our corporate narrative and feels like one family of brands for our customers.
  • Drive new programs and day-to-day brand marketing operations to grow brand credibility, loyalty, and love, engaging our current customer audiences and driving new user acquisition.
  • Lead and socialize the brand sentiment analysis and bi-annual brand tracker by audience and markets to provide recommendations to optimize messaging and targeting.
  • Drive a cross-functional team alignment across Marketing, Comms, and Central Design to bring our brand to life consistently across all audiences and touchpoints.
  • Ensure influencer programs are aligned with our key audiences on the right platform and develop a roadmap of experimentation to drive volume, consideration, and sales.
  • Establish the desired global brand sentiment metrics; identify both leading and lagging measurements by segment. Establish and maintain brand search volume targets.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of brand marketing experience
  • Experience in integrated brand marketing strategies that align with business goals and successfully move audiences throughout the customer journey
  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally with internal and external teams
  • Demonstrated ability in using data to drive business outcomes
  • Intellectual curiosity, ability to quickly grasp complex concepts, understand products/technologies, and changing market dynamics
  • Ability to navigate a matrix organization and represent the team with integrity, professionalism, and self-sufficiency
  • Influencer marketing and video experience is a plus

Total Rewards

For candidates hired in Colorado, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is $136,000 - $160,000 - $184,000.

This salary/OTE range represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary or OTE (Sales roles) range for this position, and is subject to change. To determine a Dropboxer’s starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. This position may be considered a promotional opportunity.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
