About the role

We are looking for a fabulous Café Assistant to work at our HIllsborough Heights Village in Central Auckland. You will be providing exceptional service to our Residents and their friends, while also helping provide a great dining experience!

This is a permanent, part time position working 23 hours per week. Shifts as follows:

• Monday -10.30 am to 3.15 pm
• Tuesday -10.30 am to 3.30 pm
• Wednesday -10.30 am to 4.30 pm
• Thursday -10.30 am to 3.15 pm
• Friday -10.30 am to 3.30 pm
• Some of the great things you will be doing:
• Taking food and beverage orders from our residents, visitors and staff
• Making amazing cups of coffee (semi-automatic machine)
• Serving and collecting meals in our café
• preparing and serving cabinet food and light meals
• Operating the cash register
• General cleaning including café equipment and washing up in the kitchen
• Additional Kitchen duties as and when required
• About you
• You will have exceptional customer service skills, a vibrant and welcoming personality and you can effortlessly juggle several tasks at once.

Some things that will support your application include

Impeccable personal presentation

A warm and friendly nature and a 'Can do attitude'

Exceptional communication skills

Previous experience in a Café or a front of house environment

A Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (not essential) as well as and/or commercial kitchen experience
