Job Description
Working in a remote/hybrid environment, the full-time California Licensed Principal Engineer will perform design, analysis, and product development for advanced power plant designs, including Small Modular Reactors and Generation IV nuclear power plants, while collaborating with a team of mechanical engineers.
##### Key responsibilities
Perform structural, thermal, and seismic analyses on valves and mechanical equipment under various conditions
Create detailed reports documenting analysis results to industry standards
Review complex systems for compliance with environmental qualification criteria and regulatory requirements
##### Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years, Master's with 7+, or PhD with 5+ years of relevant experience
Experience in Finite Element Analysis, preferably with ANSYS
Demonstrated knowledge of pressure vessel and metallic component analysis
Familiarity with ASME BPVC standards and parametric modeling, preferably SolidWorks
Professional engineering licensure in the US or Canada
