Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for cooking and baking.

Duties

Meal preparation and cooking tasks, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.

Engage in food preparation activities, including baking, chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients for dishes.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.

Support catering events by preparing and serving food items as required.

Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies when necessary.

Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within catering or carehome settings.

Basic culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques.

Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is essential.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.

A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Food safety and catering qualifications preferred.
