About the role

H Build Constructions is looking for a reliable, skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our team. We undertake residential construction projects and are seeking someone with practical carpentry experience who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. The successful candidate will work on a range of residential construction projects, working alongside our team to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

Carry out general carpentry work on residential construction projects.

Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Complete framing, flooring, wall and roof construction, and other carpentry tasks as required.

Install doors, windows, cladding and other building components.

Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, specifications and health and safety requirements.

Work effectively with other trades and follow project schedules.

Maintain a clean, safe and organised worksite.

About you

Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential construction.

Good knowledge of carpentry methods, tools and building materials.

Ability to read and understand construction drawings.

Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

A full driver's licence is preferred.

Relevant qualifications and experience in the New Zealand construction industry are advantageous.
