About the role

Our Security team works on a rotating shift basis, covering 24 / 7 and the purpose of the casual team member is to cover absences such as sick leave and annual leave etc.  Our casual staff are available on a 'when and if required basis', so this role will suit an individual who has the flexibility required to work at any time, on any given day. Training will be provided as per business requirements, and you may be trained in some or all aspects of the role over your employment. As we approach cruise season here at LPC, a major part of this role will be involved in being the security for our Cruise Operations, which includes welcoming guests to and from the ships onto buses and checking I.D’s.

What sets you apart

You’ll bring previous security or surveillance experience, with CCTV and mobile patrol experience highly regarded. You’ll be a strong communicator who works well in a team, uses initiative and can prioritise effectively in a busy environment.

Full, clean Class 1 NZ Driver Licence

Able to work a 24/7 roster across varied shifts

Good computer literacy

Strong relationship-building skills and a good sense of humour

Pre-employment Requirements

LPC require all successful candidates to pass a Pre-employment assessment which includes a Health Assessment, a Drug and Alcohol Test, Pre-Employment Ministry of Justice Check, a TORO check and a Pre-employment ACC Check.
