About the Role
As a Category Manager within our Merchandise team, you’ll operate in a highly competitive market and be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that give us a clear edge. This role is all about creating a compelling offer for our customers while achieving strong financial results.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering company and category financial targets.
Developing and maintaining the Mitre 10 merchandise offer.
Planning and executing category strategy and promotional programs.
Building strong supplier relationships and implementing best practice.
Communicating merchandise initiatives effectively across stores, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Coaching and mentoring a high-performing Category Assistant team.
This is a role for someone with energy, influence, and a passion for retail excellence.
About You:
At least 5 years’ experience in category management and 5–10 years in retail or consumer goods.
Proven success leading high-performing teams.
Strong negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills.
Experience in FMCG, baths, showers, taps, plumbing fittings categories is advantageous.
Available to travel both internationally and nationally.
