Job Description

Mō te tūranga | About the opportunity

Duties are varied, active, and stimulating with lots of personal interaction and maintain compliance with our Food Control Plan. You  will thrive in a beautiful high end cafe  environment, and enjoy enriching the lives of our residents. You'll also be responsible for:

- Ensuring all customers have a great experience

- Cooking to order breakfast and lunch

- Baking, prepping and serving cabinet food

- Ordering supplies as required

- Set up and pack down each shift

- Maintaining our cafe cleaning, safety, and hygiene standardsOur Attitude of Living Well approach is an important philosophy at Arvida, and you will work alongside other team members across the organisation to practice and promote ‘Eating Well’, and taking steps to meet our internal gold standard.

Qualifications

• To tatou kaitono pai | What you bring
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen and/or cafe  minimum of 2 years
• Exceptional cooking and baking skills
• Excellent food hygiene practices and a commitment to safe working practices
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Flexibility, adaptability and able to work well under pressure with good time management.
• Empathy towards older adults, good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Honesty, reliability, and integrity.
• Preference to level 4 plus quals

Additional Information

• Full time  5 days per week -  Thursday 1000 - 1500 and Friday to Monday , 0630–1500
