About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced 3rd Chef atourJean Sandel Retirement Village in New Plymouth.

This is a full time position working either Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday, 1100 – 1900 with the final roster determined based on the successful candidate and the needs of the role.

In this role you will

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to create an exceptional dining experience that's 'good enough for mum'.
• Provide coverage of the Senior Lead Chef during their days off.
• Prepare delicious meals from our seasonal menus, rich in variety, flavour and nutrition.
• Cater to different residents' dietary needs.
• Assist with specialty food for fine dining experiences and functions.
• Operate with health and safety as a key consideration at all times.
• About You

To thrive in our environment you will have

New Zealand Certificate in Cookery (level 3)

Proven experience as a Chef, leading a team and running a kitchen

Outstanding communication skills

A reliable, friendly and professional manner
