About the role
Join Schick Civil as a Civil Engineering Graduate and be part of a 2-year, structured graduate programme. You will experience rotations through the company's business units and with partners to build a range of experience across the industry. You will learn real skills and gain a solid understanding of how engineering applies to civil construction, with mentoring support from experienced staff and opportunities to gain further industry certifications and civil skills. Internal development training will build on your leadership skills and capability.
Key responsibilities
Participate in rotations through the company's business units and with partners
Learn and apply engineering skills to civil construction projects
Work on civil construction projects from plan to completion
Develop insights around project planning and implementation
Identify hazards and plan to minimise risk on projects
Collaborate with a range of people across the construction team
Complete industry qualifications and certificates with support
About you
Graduating with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. You don't need to have graduated yet but must be in your final year of study
Completed student placement hours working on civil construction projects (MUST)
Practically minded and like seeing physical results on projects
Enjoy being in a team, take initiative and like to get things done
Natural problem solver
Good time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
Safety mindset, can identify hazards, and plan to minimise risk
Excellent communication skills
Enjoy collaborating with a range of people
* Full Class 1 driver's license preferred; Class 2 and WTR an advantage
