Clinic Coordinator

Lead the day-to-day operations of a busy veterinary clinic and become a key part of our Ashburton team!

Vetlife is one of the South Island's largest veterinary practices, providing trusted veterinary services to rural and companion animal clients across the region. Our Ashburton clinic is a busy, high-performing team serving the Mid Canterbury community.

We're looking for an organised and people-focused Clinic Coordinator to coordinate the daily operations of our clinic. This is a hands-on role that combines team support, client service, administration, and operational coordination to ensure the clinic runs smoothly each day.

Working closely with the Hub Manager and veterinary teams, you'll play a key role in supporting staff, coordinating workflows, maintaining clinic standards, and delivering an excellent experience for our clients.

About the Role

In this role, you will

• Coordinate the day-to-day running of a busy veterinary clinic
• Support and guide clinic staff in their daily work
• Assist with scheduling, workflow coordination, and staffing cover
• Help maintain a positive, professional, and customer-focused team culture
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training activities
• Manage inventory, supplies, clinic vehicles, and facilities
• Assist with debtors, charging accuracy, and administrative processes
• Build strong relationships with clients and resolve day-to-day issues
• Lead clinic meetings and support effective team communication
• Promote safe work practices and support Health & Safety initiatives

• Previous experience supporting, supervising, or leading a team

• A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
• A current Full New Zealand Driver Licence
• Ideally, you'll also have:
• Experience working in a veterinary, healthcare, agricultural, retail, or service-based environment
• Experience with rostering, inventory management, or customer service operations
• A qualification in business, administration, leadership, veterinary nursing, or proven experience.
