About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll continue doing the clinical work you enjoy, while also having the opportunity to mentor, coach and develop your team, build strong relationships with clients, and help grow the practice. You'll play a key role in shaping the future of the clinic as a Clinic Leader / Mixed Animal Veterinarian.

About you

A veterinary science degree and eligibility to practise in New Zealand (both essential)

At least five years' experience as a practising mixed animal veterinarian in New Zealand (essential)

A genuine interest in rural veterinary practice and the people who make it work

An interest in leadership, mentoring and developing others

Good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues

A practical, collaborative approach and a willingness to get stuck in

Someone who enjoys being part of a team and wants to contribute to something bigger

Vetora BOP has been around for over 80 years operating four clinics in the Bay of Plenty/Central Plateau region of the North Island. We are a 'profit for purpose' vet club owned by our 350 farmer members. Galatea is one of four clinics within Vetora Bay of Plenty, giving you the best of both worlds: the autonomy and close-knit feel of a small rural clinic, backed by the knowledge, resources and support of a wider veterinary team.
