**POSITION SUMMARY**

The **Clinical Director** is a key leadership role responsible for the oversight and clinical integrity of our treatment programs. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will bridge the gap between clinical philosophy and daily practice. You will lead a dedicated team of clinicians, ensuring that our substance abuse services meet the highest standards of ethics, efficacy, and regulatory compliance within the district.

**RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES**

  • **Clinical Oversight:** Directs the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures in alignment with facility goals.
  • **Team Leadership:** Supervises and mentors clinical staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, integrity, and service excellence.
  • **Quality Assurance:** Confers with the Executive Director to assess the quality of care delivered, identifying and implementing necessary changes to improve client outcomes.
  • **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensures all clinical activities comply with **Washington D.C.** guidelines and independent licensure requirements.
  • **Staff Development:** Leads the orientation, training, and ongoing clinical supervision of counseling personnel.
  • **Case Consultation:** Acts as the primary clinical resource for complex substance abuse cases and crisis intervention.
  • **Performance Management:** Conducts on-site evaluations of employee performance and provides clinical coaching and disciplinary action when necessary.
  • **Ethics & Advocacy:** Ensures that all residents receive services in a compassionate environment that respects their rights and adheres to the highest moral principles.
  • **Internal Auditing:** Participates in internal clinical audits and develops plans of correction for any identified deficits.
  • **Liaison Services:** Acts as a primary point of contact for families and external agencies to resolve clinical concerns and ensure client satisfaction.

**SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**

  • **Education:** Master’s degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field is required.
  • **Licensure:** Must hold an **independent level license** valid in **Washington D.C.** (e.g., **LICSW, LPC**).
  • **Experience:** Minimum of **two years** of full-time direct practice experience specifically working with substance abuse populations.
  • **Continuing Education:** Must comply with continuing education and training guidelines set forth by **Washington D.C.** for those providing clinical care.
