Start your clinical research career helping to shape the future of diabetes care.

At Abbott, we're committed to helping people live healthier lives through breakthrough technologies and innovative healthcare solutions. As the world leader in glucose monitoring, Abbott Diabetes Care develops products such as FreeStyle Libre, transforming the way people manage diabetes around the world.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to join our Clinical Affairs team in Witney. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step into clinical research monitoring and build a rewarding career within the medical devices industry.

Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will receive mentoring, training, and hands-on experience contributing to clinical studies that support innovative healthcare technologies used globally.

Main Responsibilities

As a Clinical Research Associate, you will support the delivery of clinical studies, helping to ensure they are conducted, documented, and reported in accordance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and applicable regulatory requirements.

You will develop strong relationships with clinical investigators, study sites, and research institutions while supporting study start-up activities, ongoing monitoring, and overall study management.

You will assist with reviewing study documentation, preparing reports and study materials, and supporting the collection and review of safety

information in collaboration with investigators.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help maintain high-quality study conduct, support patient recruitment and retention initiatives, and contribute to site training activities to ensure study teams have a clear understanding of protocol requirements and study procedures.

Throughout the role, you will continue to build your clinical research and monitoring expertise through structured development opportunities and practical experience.

About You

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a passion for healthcare innovation and a desire to develop a career in clinical research. You may be a recent Life Sciences graduate, a Clinical Trial Assistant, Research Nurse, Study Coordinator, or someone who has gained experience supporting clinical studies and is ready to take the next step towards becoming a Clinical Research Associate.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Most importantly, you will be eager to learn, committed to maintaining high-quality standards, and excited by the opportunity to contribute to research that can make a meaningful difference to people's lives.

What We Offer

At Abbott, you'll have the opportunity to develop your career within a global healthcare leader while working on studies that support life-changing technologies. You'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment, with access to training, development opportunities, and the chance to make a real impact on the future of diabetes care.
