Purpose of the job

The Commercial Operations Specialist will primarily be responsible for support emerging markets. The role will be responsible for coordinating and executing critical commercial support processes that enable efficient sales execution and business operations. The role serves as a key link between Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Legal, and Commercial Excellence teams, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational effectiveness across order management, pricing, contracts, demand planning, stock allocation, opportunity management, and sales support activities The position reports directly to the Commercial Excellence Manager but will work closely with the Commercial Directors and Business Operation teams in International Markets.

Responsibilities

Order Management

- Coordinate end-to-end order management processes to ensure timely and accurate order processing.

- Monitor order status, resolve order-related issues, and liaise with Customer Service, Commercial and Supply Chain teams.

- Partner with Supply Chain and Demand Planning teams to manage stock allocation decisions. Communicate allocation decisions and inventory updates to relevant stakeholders.

- Support backlog management and ensure customer commitments are met.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance order fulfillment efficiency. Pricing Management

- Maintain customer pricing files and pricing master data within designated systems.

- Support price implementation, updates, and governance processes.

- Ensure pricing accuracy and compliance with approved pricing policies.

- Coordinate pricing approvals and maintain documentation of pricing exceptions. Contract Management

- Support the creation, review, execution, and renewal of customer contracts and commercial agreements.

- Maintain contract repositories and ensure documentation is complete and current.

- Track contract milestones, expirations, and renewal timelines within designated systems.

- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Sales teams to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Ethics & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical business practices.

- Support compliance reviews related to customer engagements, contracts, pricing, and commercial activities.

- Maintain required documentation and audit trails.

- Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.Opportunity Management

- Maintain accurate opportunity data within CRM systems.

- Support sales teams in managing sales pipelines and commercial opportunities.

- Ensure timely updates of opportunity status, customer information, and revenue forecasts.

- Generate pipeline and opportunity reports to support business decision-making. Sales Support

- Provide operational support to the sales organization, enabling effective customer engagement and execution.

- Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and business reviews.

- Support sales incentive administration and tracking where applicable.

- Coordinate internal approvals and documentation required for commercial activities.

- Manage customer onboarding processes and related administrative requirements.

Required/preferred educational background

  • 3+ years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Customer Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial Excellence, or related business functions.
  • Experience working with CRM and ERP systems.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional commercial processes is preferred.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ideally experienced working with distributors in an international environment
  • CRM management (Salesforce, Dynamics, or equivalent)
  • ERP systems experience (SAP preferred)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working within a complex virtual team environmnent and leading project activities
  • Ability to travel and provide on-site support and training as needed
