To support corporate headquarters in Columbia, MO, the full-time salaried Corporate Development Counsel will manage the legal aspects of M&A and strategic investment activities, including structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions while collaborating closely with senior leadership and various business teams.

##### Key responsibilities

Structure, draft, and negotiate key transaction documents for acquisitions and investments

Lead and manage the end-to-end legal due diligence process, coordinating with internal specialists

Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Corporate Development team, providing strategic advice on deal structures and negotiation strategies

##### Required qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with active membership in at least one state bar

Minimum of 4 years of relevant legal experience focused on M&A, including hands-on experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements

Expertise in corporate law, contract law, and securities law

Experience at a law firm in its M&A/Corporate practice is preferred; in-house experience at a technology or high-growth company is a plus

Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and communicate legal issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders
