Focused on enabling people and organisational success, the Culture and Capability team leads learning, development and culture programmes that support Maritime NZ's strategic goals and workforce aspirations.
Te tūnga | The role
As our Culture & Capability Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of keeping our team running smoothly. No two days are the same. You'll juggle a variety of competing priorities while providing coordination, administrative, financial, and learning support across a wide range of initiatives.
We're looking for someone who doesn't wait to be asked. You'll anticipate needs before they arise, spot potential issues early, and take ownership for ensuring things get done.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinating Culture & Capability activities, programmes, and events.
- Supporting learning and development initiatives across Maritime NZ.
- Assisting the C&C Manager with financial administration, budget tracking and invoicing.
- Providing support for our Learning Management System and learning administration activities.
- Managing team coordination activities, scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
- Working closely with the wider Business Support Group to deliver a high-quality service.
- Please note that this role is Wellington-based, and applications will only be considered from candidates who are currently based in Wellington or have confirmed plans to relocate to Wellington
- This is a fixed term opportunity for 6 months

Can confidently manage multiple priorities and deadlines at the same time.
Is self-sufficient, resourceful, and comfortable working independently.
Delivers outstanding customer service and builds strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Has experience supporting budgets, invoices, purchasing, or financial administration.
Learns new systems quickly and is keen to develop capability in our Learning Management System (Te Waka Ako).
Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change.

Salary range $67,942 – 82,407 pa pro-rated depending on skills and experience + superannuation.
