About the role
This is more than a curriculum role. It's an opportunity to influence teaching practice at scale, mentor and coach teaching teams, and help shape the future direction of early childhood education within a purpose-driven organisation.
We are recruiting for both a permanent and fixed-term role. This ad is for the fixed-term role, if you would like to apply for the permanent position please submit an application through the other job ad.
This role requires regular travel across our regions. Travel may involve being away from home for several nights at a time, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential.
You will
- Coach, mentor and support centre teams to strengthen teaching practice and curriculum delivery.
- Lead professional learning and development that inspires growth and excellence.
- Partner with managers to understand each centre's strengths, opportunities and development needs.
- Translate research and emerging best practice into practical improvements for Kaiako and tamariki.
- Support inclusive, child-centred learning environments that enable every child to thrive.
- Champion quality, regulatory compliance, child protection, health and safety, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to innovative approaches that measure and demonstrate positive outcomes for tamariki, whānau and Kaiako.
- About you
- You are an experienced educational leader who is passionate about supporting others to succeed.
You'll bring
A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
Strong curriculum knowledge and experience in mentoring, coaching or pedagogical leadership.
A deep understanding of Te Whāriki and high-quality early learning practice.
Excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.
Energy, curiosity and a growth mindset.
* The ability to inspire change while building trust and strong partnerships.
Why join us?
At New Shoots and Educare, we're committed to investing in our people and creating environments where both tamariki and kaiako can flourish. You'll join a collaborative curriculum team that is passionate about innovation, continuous improvement, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.
If you're ready to help shape exceptional teaching practice and create lasting impact for tamariki across our centres, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply now and join us in growing curious minds, capable learners, and thriving communities.
