CWPS Biomedical Science Training and Recruitment Strategy Lead

Liaise with representatives Higher Education Institutions to explore delivery of innovative Apprenticeship training and education programmes to suit the requirements of CWPS.

Work with department managers across CWPS to identify and advise on supplementing skill gaps within the workforce. Explore implementation of new roles, for example, Biomedical Associate.

Attend and represent CWPS Network at local, regional and national forums to relevant to delivery of Training and education for the Biomedical Science workforce. Circulate relevant information and updates to training officers and department managers.

Become proficient in the use of the Quality Management system, ensuring the effective management of all controlled documentation.

Become familiar with and ensure Biomedical Science training supports the delivery of services in line with the principles of the ISO standard and MHRA requirements, HTA regulations, HSE requirements.

Collect, interpret and present in an agreed format information when required for presentation to the Pathology Operational Board meetings and quality meetings.

Become a point of contact for enquiries related to training and education of the Biomedical Science workforce, record information and complete follow up communications when necessary. Communicate and circulate relevant information to colleagues.
