Deli Assistant – Permanent Position

Hannah Mary's XL, a well-established convenience store, deli and bakery located just outside Killorglin, Co. Kerry, is seeking a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Deli Assistant to join our team.

This is a permanent position offering 25–35 hours per week, with flexibility required across a seven-day roster.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with food, takes pride in their work and is interested in becoming a valued, long-term member of our team.

Previous experience in a deli, café, kitchen or food preparation environment would be an advantage. However, full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation, cooking and presentation of fresh hot and cold foods.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Completing daily HACCP checks and food safety records.
• Stock rotation, replenishment and food presentation.
• Assisting with daily deli opening and setup procedures.
• Working independently and as part of a busy team.

Key Requirements

• A genuine interest in food preparation and customer service.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and use initiative.
• Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends.
• Previous food service experience desirable but not essential.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
