Delivery Driver

About the Role

At Canterbury Linen Services (CLS), we process over 180 tonnes of linen weekly and are responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery and collection of linen to all Te Whatu Ora Canterbury, South Canterbury and West Coast hospitals, along with private health care facilities and commercial accommodation providers.

We are seeking a reliable and safety conscious delivery driver to join our logistics team on a full time permanent basis. A current Class 2 New Zealand driver's licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Health & Safety: Follow all CLS health & safety policies and procedures

Transportation: Drive a class 2 delivery vehicle, delivering and collecting linen items for all CLS customers

Loading & Unloading: Safely load, secure and unload linen bags, cages and trolleys

Vehicle Care: Conduct pre-start checks and ensure the vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and well-presented

Customer Service: Interact professionally with all CLS customers, ensuring delivery schedules are followed accurately and on-time

Communication: Communicate any customer queries or delivery issues to the logistics team

Skills and Experience:

Valid Class 2 New Zealand Driver’s Licence

Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision

Excellent communication and time management skills

Flexible and willing to work additional hours and/or shifts when needed

Availability to work public holidays where required

Typical Work Environment:

Physically demanding role

Involves driving in all weather conditions

May work evenings, weekends, or holidays

What We Offer:

Rostered 5 day week - our business hours are 3am to 11pm Monday to Sunday
