ABOUT THE ROLE |Te tūranga mahi

We're looking for a qualified and experienced Dayshift Electrician to join our Engineering team and help maintain the electrical safety, reliability, and performance of critical port equipment.

Working predominantly on straddle carriers, container handlers, lifting gear, and associated plant, you'll be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance, diagnosing faults, and performing repairs that keep our operations running safely and efficiently. You'll work within a complex operational environment where reliability, continuous improvement, and safety are critical to success.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and fault finding on port equipment and machinery.

Diagnose and resolve electrical faults across straddle carriers, container handlers, lifting equipment, and associated plant.

Maintain compliance with relevant technical, electrical, and safety standards.

Support the reliability and availability of operational equipment through proactive maintenance practices.

Contribute to improvement initiatives that enhance equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Develop technical expertise across electrical systems, PLCs, control systems, and drive technologies.

Work collaboratively with Engineering teams, contractors, and operational stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.

Contribute to knowledge sharing, process improvements, and technical documentation.

ABOUT YOU | Ko wai koe

You are a NZ qualified Industrial Electrician with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Safety-focused and technically capable, you enjoy solving problems, working as part of a team, and taking pride in keeping critical equipment operating at its best.
