Electrician

Stonehaven Construction Services Limited is a construction company operating across residential and commercial construction projects in Ireland. The location of work is Unit 11B Slade Castle Court, Saggart, Co. Dublin.

This is a full-time permanent role for 39 hours per week at a salary of €36,605 per annum (€18.05 per hour).

Job Description

Stonehaven Construction Services Limited is seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician with practical experience in electrical installation and low-voltage electrical systems. The successful candidate will undertake electrical installation and maintenance works across residential and commercial construction sites and will work closely with site management and other construction trades to ensure electrical works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required project standards.

The position involves working at various construction sites throughout Ireland and may include electrical works at height where required.

Key Requirements

• Relevant electrical trade qualification, electrical certification or equivalent technical training.
• Practical experience in electrical installation, maintenance and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Good knowledge of electrical wiring, cabling, conduits, containment systems, switches, sockets and lighting systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience identifying electrical faults and carrying out appropriate maintenance and repair works.
• Competence in the safe use of electrical tools, testing equipment and installation equipment.
• Knowledge of construction site health and safety procedures, including safe working practices when working at height.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Install electrical wiring, cables, conduits, cable containment, switches, sockets, lighting and associated electrical components on construction projects.
• Carry out installation and connection of low-voltage electrical systems and equipment in accordance with project specifications and electrical drawings.
• Read and interpret electrical plans, wiring diagrams, technical drawings and manufacturers' installation instructions.
• Inspect electrical installations and identify faults, defects or maintenance requirements in electrical systems and components.
• Carry out maintenance, repair and replacement of electrical wiring, fixtures, components and associated equipment.
• Perform electrical installation and maintenance work at height where required using appropriate access equipment and safe working procedures.
• Coordinate electrical works with site managers, engineers and other construction trades to ensure installations are completed in accordance with the construction programme.
