Role Description

The Engineer III is a junior engineer focused on learning, implementation, and execution of well-defined tasks. This role works closely with Engineer II and Engineer II – Premium for technical guidance, design clarity, and delivery expectations.

Engineer III is expected to grow foundational engineering skills, contribute high-quality code, and progressively take ownership of smaller features and components.

Core Responsibilities

• Development
• Implement backend or frontend features based on provided designs and requirements
• Write clean, maintainable code in Golang and/or React
• Follow established coding, security, and deployment standards
• Testing & Quality
• Write unit and basic integration tests
• Fix defects and participate in regression testing efforts
• Validate changes against acceptance criteria
• Tooling & Platforms
• Use GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes with guidance
• Learn and apply platform standards and enforcement mechanisms
• Observability & Operations
• Add basic logging and metrics to services
• Assist with troubleshooting and operational support
• Participate in incident resolution as a learner/observer
• Documentation & Growth
• Document implemented features and changes
• Participate in code reviews and design walkthroughs
• Incorporate feedback and actively develop technical skills

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent)
• Familiarity with at least one core language or framework (Golang or React)
• Basic understanding of Git, CI/CD, and containerized environments
• Willingness to learn distributed systems and cloud-native concepts
• Strong collaboration skills and openness to feedback
