Reporting operationally to the Head of Quality Engineering Airframe Wing and functionally to the Head of A220 Engineering, you will play a key role in leading quality engineering activities across the A220 programme. You will be embedded within the A220 Engineering Programme Management Team, providing functional direction to both Plant and Programme Engineering teams at the Belfast site. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM  - Manage supplier quality processes, including performance metrics and regular reviews with airframe engineering suppliers. - Deliver structured quality reporting and support compliance across Plant and Programme Engineering. - Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of quality standards and initiatives to support programme goals, including rate ramp-up. - Implement early warning systems and risk mitigation tools (e.g. APQP, DFMEA) to monitor and manage high-risk deliverables. - Facilitate design reviews, lessons learnt integration, and structured problem-solving (e.g. 8D, 9S) to enhance engineering performance. - Maintain a quality performance system to track key engineering deliverables and drive improvements in time, cost, and quality. ABOUT YOU It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that sufficient detail is provided to demonstrate how they meet essential job criteria, as this alone will be used for vetting purposes.  Essential - Possess a minimum of a relevant BSc/BEng degree together with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant quality engineering experience within an aerospace, to include leadership within a Multi Functional Transnational Team environment OR Have lesser relevant qualifications with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant quality engineering experience within an aerospace to include leadership within a Multi Functional Transnational Team environment. - 2+ years of Strong understanding of quality management processes and tools and engineering processes Closing date: 22nd of October 2026 Please note that meeting the mandatory criteria listed above guarantees consideration for the role, but does not ensure progression to the interview stage.
