Facilities Coordinator
Job Description
**Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
Our Corporate Services teams provide a range of critical support and facilities management services to ensure our business functions and delivers seamlessly and effectively. Comprising a dedicated team of corporate receptionists, facilities assistants and administrative coordinators, these are the people who are first impression ambassadors who smooth the path and provide the environment for our people to thrive, every day – they literally keep the lights on!
The role of Facilities Coordinator is hands‑on and varied, working throughout our head office to ensure our spaces are safe, functional and welcoming. You’ll help make sure locations and equipment are available, ready and fit for purpose, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and ad‑hoc requirements. From changing lightbulbs and identifying necessary repairs, to coordinating contractors, setting up meeting rooms and confirming technology and connectivity, no two days will be the same. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining workplace standards, supporting health and safety requirements, and responding promptly to issues as they arise to keep our offices running smoothly.
In addition, this role benefits from someone who is quick to pick up new systems and technology, able to understand processes fast and navigate tools confidently. A proactive approach is essential — spotting issues before they escalate, anticipating the needs of teams and spaces, and keeping ahead of daily demands. There is also strong scope to streamline how we work, so someone who naturally seeks smarter, more efficient ways of operating will add significant value.
**Ko wai koe | About you**
Bringing practical, hands‑on skills and ideally exposure to an office or facilities environment, you’ll be someone who sees what needs doing and takes initiative to make it happen. You’re comfortable working across a range of tasks — both physical and administrative — and you take pride in delivering a reliable, high‑quality service. Confident communicating with people at all levels, you’ll bring a positive, cheerful can‑do attitude and a solutions‑focused mindset.
You’re organised and adaptable, able to work to deadlines while remaining flexible to support changing priorities. A true team player, you’re curious to learn, keen to build your skills, and motivated by contributing to an environment where people can do their best work.
