Farmworkers, Farm & Ranch Animals
Job Description
Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Assist in birth deliveries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Move livestock from one location to another; Load and run feed truck to feed livestock; Inspect, service, and repair feeding systems as needed; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Provide mineral to cattle; Build, repair and maintain fence lines; Must speak and understand English.
Requirements: 3 months of experience. Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
