Position Summary

This is not a desk-based safety role.Field safety at Eagle Builders means being present on active job sites, building trust with crews, and holding a clear, consistent standard.

We’re looking for a practical, proactive safety professional who can support projects across Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. You will work closely with site representatives, operations, employees, and sub-trades to make safety expectations understood and followed.

  • Be present on active jobsites, observing work, coaching in real time, and reinforcing safe practices
  • Implement and support site safety programs for Eagle Builders crews and subcontractors
  • Lead practical safety meetings, orientations, and train for employees and sub-trades
  • Conduct inspections, hazard assessments, and follow-up until concerns are effectively resolved
  • Investigate incidents, first aid events, and near misses, then recommend meaningful corrective actions

  • Coordinate safety requirements through project startup, construction phases, and project closeout
  • Maintain safety documentation, statistics, trends, SDS binders, and prime contractor packages
  • Prequalify subcontractors and verify current WCB clearance and valid insurance certificates
  • Confirm emergency equipment, first aid supplies, vehicles, job boxes, and sea-cans are properly stocked
  • Interpret and apply company policies, occupational health and safety legislation, and project requirements
  • What We Are Looking For
  • Relationship builder – earns trust with crews, supervisors, and sub-trades
  • Confident and direct – addresses unsafe work clearly without creating unnecessary resistance
  • Present and engaged – works along field teams rather than managing safety from a distance
