Financial Operations Specialist

Roly type: Full-time, permanent – 37.5 hours per week

Salary - €36,605 per annum

The Financial Operations Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency and continuous improvement of finance operations across billing, revenue management, cash collections and reporting. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll help maintain financial integrity, improve processes and provide insights that support business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis & Reporting
• Reconcile high-volume transactional data to ensure billing accuracy and revenue integrity.
• Produce regular financial and performance reports, including volume and margin analysis.
• Monitor billing activity, investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support month-end and year-end reporting and reconciliation activities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and performance metrics.

Process Improvement & Systems

• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, increase automation and improve efficiency.
• Support finance system enhancements and business improvement projects.
• Review existing workflows and implement solutions that improve accuracy and reduce manual effort.
• Act as a subject matter expert, helping the business maximise the value of finance systems and tools.

Financial Controls & Compliance

Maintain effective financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies.

Monitor operational risks and implement control improvements where required.

Maintain process documentation and support internal and external audits.

Business Partnering

Provide data-driven insights to support business planning and decision-making.

Act as a key contact for invoicing and finance-related queries.

Collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes, reporting and operational effectiveness.

Financial Operations

• Support business-critical Direct Debit collections, managing substantial weekly cash flows.
• Oversee billing, revenue tracking, financial administration and reporting activities.
• Ensure timely invoicing and accurate revenue recognition.
• Maintain the accuracy and consistency of financial data across systems.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in finance operations, financial analysis, billing or revenue management.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Experience producing financial reports, reconciliations and performance analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and process improvement capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with financial systems and reporting tools.
