About the role

We are seeking a hands-on professional who thrives in a heavy engineering environment. In this role, you will be responsible for precision fitting, structural welding, and interpreting engineering drawings while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and safety.

About you

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in heavy engineering

Current, valid welding certificates (MIG/TIG)

Strong work ethic with the confidence and ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to producing top-tier structural and mechanical work

Must be currently located in Auckland and have reliable own transportation

Must hold a valid New Zealand work visa or residency (right to work in NZ)

Experience or formal qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS/H&S) desirable

Previous experience mentoring junior staff or apprentices desirable
