Job role: FLT Driver (Counterbalance)Location: MonmouthHours: 8-5 Monday to Friday but one Saturday 9-12 every 3 weeksSalary: £12.80 per hourJob SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role involves operating various types of vehicles, handling materials, and supporting warehouse operations to facilitate smooth supply chain processes.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulationsLoad and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling and securement of itemsAssist with warehouse management system updates, recording deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements accuratelyConduct routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal operational conditionHandle materials with care, including heavy lifting and precise placement within storage areasSupport shipping and receiving activities by coordinating schedules and verifying shipment contentsMaintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and loading areas to promote safety and efficiencyCommunicate effectively with warehouse staff and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transitRequirementsValid driving licence suitable for operating company vehicles (e.g., lorry licence or equivalent)Proven experience in warehouse management system utilisation, materials handling, or logistics rolesMechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and equipment repairExperience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is highly desirableStrong organisational skills with the ability to perform basic maths for inventory counts and measurementsPhysical capability to undertake heavy lifting tasks regularly throughout shiftsPrior experience in shipping & receiving operations within a warehouse environment is preferredGood communication skills, reliability, and a commitment to safety standards are essential for success in this roleIf you are interested please apply now!INDBLACI
