• Tradestaff Tauranga is looking for a reliable and detail-focused Food Warehouse Assistant to join a food production team in Te Puna.
• This hands-on role involves filling, labelling, quality checking and packing premium vanilla products.

• Start date: Immediate start
• Pay rate: $26.00 per hour – paid weekly
• About the Role
• You'll be working in a food production environment, helping ensure vanilla extract and paste products are filled, labelled, checked and packed to a high standard.
• Quality control is a significant part of this role, so excellent attention to detail is essential.
• Key Responsibilities
• Filling bottles ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Capping bottles and checking lids are correctly positioned and secured.
• Labelling products, working alongside labelling machinery and manually correcting labels where required.
• Completing quality checks throughout production and inspecting finished products.
• Accurately completing production records, quality documentation and required forms.
• Stacking, packing and preparing cartons of finished products.
• Assisting with general production duties while maintaining food safety and workplace standards.
• What We're Looking For
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when completing quality checks, labelling and packing.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Understanding of food safety requirements, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles and workplace health and safety.
• Organised and able to follow documented processes and procedures accurately.
• Good manual dexterity and coordination, with confidence completing repetitive tasks such as capping and labelling.
• Good physical stamina, with the ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and perform repetitive hand movements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work positively within a small, close-knit team.
