\r\n\r\nJob Description\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Opportunity:\r\n\r\nReporting to the FSQA Manager, the FSQA Coordinator monitors and analyzes and interprets data related to Food Safety, GMP, HACCP and other Quality Assurance Program requirements to ensure they are consistently achieved.  While operating in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, one must be comfortable analyzing large amounts of data and making recommendations to FSQA leadership based on findings. The Coordinator is responsible for reviewing escalated proposed corrective actions and providing additional guidance and support. Key programs under the FSQA Coordinator role are: Hold and Release, Deviation Management, Customer Relations, Performance Monitoring, and Export.\r\n\r\n\r\nReason for vacancy:  Existing Headcount \r\nBase Salary:   $47,000 - $69,000 CAD base pay annually\r\n \r\n\r\nThe above base salary reflects the target compensation for the position at the time of posting. The base salary offered may vary based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, education, training, job- related knowledge, and other organizational requirements. For part-time roles, salaries are adjusted according to scheduled hours. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSnapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSupport the execution of the customer and consumer complaints programs including weekly reporting on performance, leading plant investigations, and drafting responses.\r\n\tTrack, trend, and communicate the performance of the plant deviation status including closure rates and quality of responses entered into the SAP system.\r\n\tConsolidate weekly food safety and quality results and prepare summaries to present to Senior Management.\r\n\tCoordinate and ensure proper execution of documentation verification program including identification and closure of non-conformances.\r\n\tParticipate in annual HACCP review and reassessment with cross functional team and update the program accordingly.\r\n\tParticipate in prerequisite monitoring and reassessment inspections as per MLF specific requirement including validations.\r\n\tParticipate in annual validations of critical processes including allergen validation and sanitation effectiveness.\r\n\tDesignate site gatekeeper for the laboratory information management system (LIMS) including swab site updates, populating enumeration results, generating reports, and planning swabbing surveys for TPC, ATP, Listeria spp., and Lactics.\r\n\tTrack and trend quality related deviations and complete process capability analysis of data in our Quality Management System (QMS).  \r\n\tCoordinate FSQA document management (SOP's, training material, policies, etc).\r\n\tSupport and/or deliver FSQA training.\r\n\tDesignate for ordering FSQA office supplies and accessories.\r\n\tAssist with construction activities and planning of environmental monitoring.\r\n\tSupport and/or coordinate equipment calibrations (MDs, thermometers, data tracers, etc.).\r\n\tParticipate in meetings and projects as an FSQA representative as required.\r\n\tProvide back up support and coverage for FSQA Technicians as required.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat You’ll Bring:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tUniversity degree or college diploma preferably in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science or a related discipline.\r\n\t2 to 5 years of experience in a technical role at a food manufacturing facility.\r\n\tStrong understanding of Pre-requisite Programs, HACCP, CCP’s and GMPs related to the food industry.\r\n\tStrong time management skills with an ability to work in an environment with shifting priorities\r\n\tAbility to work effectively under minimal supervision\r\n\tHigh attention to detail\r\n\tThe ability to work cooperatively in a team environment\r\n\tWillingness to learn and teach others, be self-directed and motivated\r\n\tStrong interpersonal skills\r\n\tStrong oral and written communication skills\r\n\tExcellent organization and planning skills\r\n\tIntermediate to exceptional MS Office skills\r\n\tAbility to work with a variety of people and to be assertive as required\r\n\tWork as part of a functional team and be an exceptional fit with our Maple Leaf Leadership Values\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat We Offer at Maple Leaf Foods:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBeing part of a high-performance, people-focused company that has an inspiring and unique vision to become the most sustainable protein company on earth, and a deep commitment to sustainable protein across North America.\r\n\tAn inclusive company culture and a work environment that keeps our people safe, rewards excellence, and empowers everyone to learn and contribute their best. \r\n\tCompetitive Health and Wellness benefits that offer flexibility to meet your individual or family needs, including programs focused on improving mental health and wellbeing.
