From assisting customers select the perfect plants for their gardens to tending to the lush greenery that fills the garden center, this position plays an important role in fostering a welcoming and inspiring environment for both seasoned gardeners and budding enthusiasts alike. Working at a garden center is not just a job – it is a fulfilling and rewarding journey. **This role is for 8-10 weeks in BC Locations**.

**Job Duties:**

• Merchandise live nursery products
• Move full racks of plants
• Clean & face shelf product - removal of poor product
• Visual displays of product & product placement
• Customer engagement - assist customers with product inquiries

**Requirements:**

• Friendly and positive attitude
• Be able to lift 25 lb minimum
• Ability to work independently & problem solve
• Adaptable schedule
• Smart phone with text, data, email capabilities for daily communication
• Basic plant knowledge or gardening experience a plus, but not required
• Safety shoes required for duration of shift must have green CSA symbol

**Dress code:**

• Our goal is for a clean, respectful and professional looking team. You are the face of Van Belle and represent our company.
• Closed toed, safety shoes.
• Shoulders covered, T-shirts and dark or colored denim is okay. Shorts to the knees. No sweatpants, leggings
• Graphics and logos on clothing/hats: no advocacy messaging allowed. No public policy or political party messaging allowed. Sports teams and fashion brands are acceptable
• You will be provided with an apron.
