Job Description

Feed cattle daily according to established feeding schedules

• Monitor and maintain water supply, including breaking or defrosting ice on water tanks during winter months

• Administer vaccinations, medications, and injections to cattle as directed

• Monitor herd health on a daily basis and identify sick or injured animals

• Treat or assist in treating ill or injured cattle

• Monitor cows during calving season and assist with difficult births as needed

• Care for and monitor newborn calves

• Maintain pens, feeding areas, and equipment used in daily cattle care

• Operate tractors and other farm equipment as needed to support feeding and cattle-care duties

Requirements: 3 months of experience. Th worker should have a valid driver's license or able to obtain one within 30days of hire. The employee should be able to lift 60lb. Will be exposed to extreme cold weather.
