At our facilities, our employees work with various types of meat including chicken, beef and pork. As this is a FULL-TIME permanent opportunity, we require the availability of 40 hours/week.\r\n \r\n\r\nHourly Wage Rate\r\n\r\nStarting Rate: $19.08/hour\r\nAfter 6 Months: $19.33/hour\r\nAfter 18 Months: $19.58/hour\r\nTop Rate (After 30 Months): $19.83/hour\r\nWage progression is based on the successful completion of the applicable service milestones and is subject to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (where applicable).\r\n\r\nReason for vacancy:  Existing Headcount\r\n\r\nYou must be legally eligible to work and currently residing in Canada. We are looking for General Labourers who thrive working in a team-based challenging environment!\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat's in it for you?\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tDay (6:00 Am – 2:30 Pm) and afternoon (2:30 Pm – 11:00 Pm) shifts available.\r\n\tAfternoon shift premium available.\r\n\tOpportunity for overtime during the weekdays and on weekends.\r\n\tBenefits available after one month of your start date.\r\n\tRRSP/Pension Plans\r\n\tQuarterly Gain Share Incentive plan\r\n\tEmployee Assistant program\r\n\tProgression wage increases\r\n\tAll PPE is provided to employees (Earmuffs, boots, jacket, etc.)\r\n\tSupport of a union\r\n\tHighly automated and fast-paced learning environment\r\n\tOpportunities for growth and training development \r\n\t \r\n\r\n\r\nRole Responsibilities:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tTake an active role in changeover procedures and achieve line speed efficiencies\r\n\tManually pack products into bags, cartons, or other containers.\r\n\tRemove finished goods cartons from the conveyer and place them on pallets.\r\n\tVisual quality checks of the product against customer and internal specifications (Including foreign materials and weight checks)\r\n\tAbility to maintain the cleanliness of areas of responsibility\r\n\tAdhere to individual Product Standard Operating Procedures for components and packaging materials\r\n\tMust wear proper PPE and comply with Health and Safety requirements including ensuring power is shut down on equipment prior to specified tasks\r\n\tFrequent pushing, pulling, and overhead reaching, bending, and standing are required\r\n\tOther tasks as assigned\r\n\r\n\r\nRequired Skills, Ability & Experience:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAbility to read, write and communicate in English\r\n\tAbility to obtain pertinent information, evaluate information objectively and explore alternative solutions to problems\r\n\tActively finding new and improved ways of completing tasks\r\n\tInteract and share information with employees at all levels (Team members, Lead Hands, Supervisors, and Others).  Actively participates in their work group.\r\n\tFor training purposes, you must be available to work the day shift\r\n\tMust be able to handle all food products and work in a cold environment\r\n\tAbility to lift up to 50lbs\r\n\r\n
