We also have locations in the U.S. and Mexico, and do business in Asia.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nResponsibilities:  \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tHandling of fresh and frozen meat products, including chicken, turkey, and pork\r\n\tCombining ingredients to formulate mixtures of products to be cooked and packaged\r\n\tLoading and unloading microwaves/ovens within the cooking process using automated and manual equipment\r\n\tPlant set up for production\r\n\tPerforming task along an assembly line to move products from start to end of the production cycle\r\n\tOrganization of finished product from the line, including pallet configuration, pallet tag documentation, and removal of product to freezer for proper storage\r\n\tOther duties as assigned\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\r\nWhat we are looking for:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset\r\n\tDesire and ability to learn\r\n\tReliable and dependable, able to be at work every day, on time\r\n\tAbility to interact and share information with Team Members at all levels.  Actively participate in their work group\r\n\tAble to work in a fast-paced and repetitive task environment\r\n\tPhysically fit and able to lift, push, and/or pull weight of up to 23kg (50 lbs.)\r\n\tBe willing to adhere to all hygienic and food safety requirements in the Plant\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n Compensation: \r\n\r\n\r\nHourly Rate: From $18.50 Hr.\r\nNight shift premium available.\r\nReason for vacancy:  Existing Headcount\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat We Offer at Maple Leaf Foods:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tBeing part of a high-performance, people-focused company that has an inspiring and unique vision to become the most sustainable protein company on earth, and a deep commitment to sustainable protein across North America.\r\n\tAn inclusive company culture and a work environment that keeps our people safe, rewards excellence, and empowers everyone to learn and contribute their best.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nHealth and Safety:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to wear proper PPE and comply with safety requirements\r\n\tPulling, pushing, twisting, bending, heavy lifting and standing\r\n\tPhysical ability to lift up to 50 lbs\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nCommunication, Cooperation & Continuous Improvement Skills:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tExcellent communication skills (verbal and oral) and the ability to effectively communicate across various departments in English\r\n\tPositive interaction and information sharing with Associates and Salaried Team\r\n\tAbility to work independently without regular supervision\r\n\tActively finding new and improved ways of completing tasks\r\n\tWilling to try new things and assume additional responsibilities\r\n\tAbility to establish priorities in their work area\r\n\tMust possess the ability to multitask, ensuring accuracy and completion for each task\r\n\tMust possess strong computer and/or data entry skills; experience with SAP systems is required\r\n\tExcellent time management, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.\r\n\tAbility to use a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail\r\n\tMust be a team player\r\n\r\n
