Job Description

About the role

Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager, you will develop visual concepts, layouts and finished creative assets for NZSEG's brands, campaigns, channels and audiences. You will support student recruitment, brand visibility, campaign delivery and stakeholder engagement by translating programme information, key messages and stories into engaging, accurate and brand-aligned creative outputs.

Key responsibilities

Develop visual concepts, layouts and finished artwork for campaigns, websites, social media, email, events, student stories, agent communications, recruitment activity and other marketing collateral.

Design and adapt creative assets across multiple channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, websites, email, print collateral, presentation materials and agent-facing resources.

Apply typography, colour, composition, imagery, accessibility principles and brand guidelines to produce clear, engaging and professional visual communications.

Use approved AI and creative tools to generate concepts, explore campaign variations, refine images and layouts, and improve design-production efficiency while maintaining human review and creative control.

Develop and maintain reusable design templates, visual asset systems, prompt libraries, production workflows and quality checks.

Adapt content for domestic and international students, education agents, employers, community partners and internal stakeholders.

Support multilingual and culturally adapted content by preparing AI-assisted drafts and coordinating appropriate review for language, accuracy and audience fit.

Maintain organised design files, source files, templates, version control, image assets, brand resources and reusable creative asset libraries.

About you

At least five years' experience in graphic design, digital design or visual communication, including production of campaign assets for digital, social, web, email, presentation or print channels.

Strong graphic design and visual communication skills across digital, social, web, email, campaign, presentation and print channels.

Proficiency with professional design and creative tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva and approved AI-enabled platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, Magnific or similar tools.

Experience using Figma for wireframing, prototyping and collaborating on digital design concepts.

Sound understanding of design principles, typography, colour, composition, image selection, layout, accessibility, brand consistency and responsible AI use.

Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate complex information into clear, engaging and audience-appropriate visual communications.

Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Excellent written English, proofreading and copy-checking skills, with the ability to identify spelling, grammar, tone and formatting issues before publication.

* A bachelor's qualification in graphic design, visual communication, digital design, or a related field.
