Graphic Designer & Marketing Specialist

About the role

This is a hands-on role in the Christchurch-based marketing team. Design will be a big part of your day, but you'll also help shape and deliver content across social channels, emails and wider campaigns. You'll work across Stirling Sports, Stirling Women and our own brands, bringing ideas to the table and helping turn them into work customers want to engage with. One week might involve designing a campaign across store, email and social. The next could see you supporting a shoot, spotting a content opportunity or helping bring a community event to life.

Key responsibilities

Designing sharp, on-brand work across print, digital, EDMs, social and in-store touchpoints

Contributing ideas for campaigns and everyday content, with an eye on trends, customer interests and commercial opportunities

Working closely with the Digital Marketing Specialist to shape EDM strategy, plan campaigns and create emails that connect with the audience

Managing the rollout of content across social channels, including writing copy and adapting content for each platform

Supporting the Creative Content Lead on shoots and helping make the most of the content captured

Working with the wider marketing team on events, community activity and other brand projects

About you

At least 2 years' graphic design experience, ideally in retail, fashion, sport or a similarly fast-moving space

A strong portfolio showing confident work across print and digital

Solid skills in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, including preparing artwork for print

Experience managing social media channels and writing engaging, on-brand copy

Broad marketing instincts: you can see the purpose behind a campaign, identify an opportunity and think beyond the design brief

An interest in email marketing and how content, design and commercial goals work together

The ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and communicate clearly along the way

A collaborative approach, fresh ideas and openness to feedback
