**POSITION**: Greenhouse Scout

**LOCATIONS**: 43756 S Sumas Rd, Chilliwack, BC V2R 4L6

**WAGE**: $20.00-$23.00/per Hour

**Summary**

As a Greenhouse Scout, you’ll be on the front lines of plant health—protecting crops, supporting growers, and helping Rainbow continue to raise the bar in Integrated Pest Management (IPM). This role is critical to reducing pesticide use, increasing biological controls, and improving overall crop quality.

Rainbow Greenhouses supplies major retailers across North America with year-round live plants. Our teams grow high quality product and support stores with dependable service and merchandising.

**What You Will Do**

• Scouting crops across Rainbow and Westfolia for pests, diseases, and plant health concerns
• Collecting, organizing, and presenting scouting data that informs grower decisions
• Monitoring insect pressure using sticky cards and visual inspections
• Supporting biological control programs, including ordering and application
• Collaborating closely with Growers and Operations to solve plant health challenges
• Supporting trials, research, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Helping maintain inventories and documentation related to IPM activities
• Follow safety protocols during all horticultural activities.
• Familiarity with hand tools used in gardening or horticulture.

**What You Bring**

• Experience or education in Horticulture, Agriculture, Biology, or Plant Physiology
• At least 1 year of scouting or equivalent greenhouse experience
• Observation skills and attention to detail
• Proficient working with Excel data
• Clear communicator who works well with growers and teams
• Physically able to work in a greenhouse environment
• Forklift license and BC Pesticide Applicator Certification are assets, not requirements
