Pay: €16.12 per hour or €32,691.36 minimum annual remuneration
Expected hours: 39 hours per week
We are looking for Healthcare Assistants to join our team.
Our Healthcare Assistant works as a member of a team delivering care to the residents of Ennis Road, Meelick, Co. Clare V94 D2T3
What will you need to do
Supporting the nursing staff and team in delivering quality person-centred care to meet the needs of residents.
Getting to know residents’ interests and needs, providing attention, support and companionship.
Promoting the mobility of residents, supervising and assisting as necessary to ensure optimum
mobility is maintained and improved where possible.
Enabling and assisting residents to maintain their personal appearance /hygiene needs whilst always maintaining their dignity.
Enabling and assisting residents to eat/drink and achieve physical comfort. Participating, organising and carrying out social activities.
Sustaining a high level of communication between residents’ families and staff, developing good relationships.
Assisting in the upkeep of high standards of cleanliness in the home.
Contributing to the maintenance of Health and Safety in the home.
Care for each resident like they are your own family.
Any other duties deemed necessary by the Nurse in Charge and management
What are the qualifications/skills needed?
FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare (or equivalent) in all relevant modules.
Some experience working in a healthcare environment preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to maintain a positive approach in a sometimes-challenging environment.
Good command of the English language, both written and oral

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
Experience
Healthcare: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification
- Level 5 in healthcare support (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (preferred)
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support (preferred)
- Work Location: In person
