Role Overview
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our service users with daily living activities, helping them maintain their independence, and providing personal care in their own homes. Your work will make a significant impact on improving the quality of life for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist service users with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide support with daily living activities such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and mobility.
- Assist with medication management, including reminders and prompting.
- Support clients with emotional and psychological well-being.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records.
- Ensure the safety, comfort, and dignity of service users at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and the team.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in a healthcare or homecare setting is essential.
- A compassionate and caring nature with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Flexibility and a willingness to work varied hours.
- A relevant healthcare qualification (or working toward) (e.g., QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support) is required.
- Full clean driving license is an advantage.
