Healthcare Assistant - Part Time

Location:Radius Thornleigh Park, 25 Heta Rd, Highlands Park, New Plymouth

Hours of work: Part-time, 20 hours per week, over a rotating 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays. Must have availability to work across all shifts (mornings, afternoons, nights).

Note: Radius Care cannot support work visas/visa changes for part-time HCAs. Visa-holders must have a current visa with open work rights and preferably at least 6 months left until expiry.

Pay rate: Subject to completed recognized caregiving qualifications

About the role:

Provide exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Work closely with a team to implement our individual care plans. Full training provided.

Duties include:

Undertaking personal cares, while encouraging residents to make decisions that promote independence

Promptly completing delegated tasks in a timely manner

Responding quickly to resident requests, providing them with useful, relevant information

Maintaining and updating resident healthcare records

Assisting with handover of residents at shift changes

Skills and Experience:

New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing and experience are desirable
