\r\n\r\nJob Description\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Opportunity:\r\n\r\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for establishing labour standards and tracking labour performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, as well as working on exciting opportunities to support medium / long-term strategic initiatives within Maple Leaf Foods.  You will be partnered with a variety of stakeholders across an expansive cross-functional team (including marketing, R&D, operations, finance, etc…) to develop comprehensive and sustainable plans to meet the company’s objectives, goals, strategies, and measures.  Success will be measured in the direct & indirect contributions the team has made in a challenging zero-based budget environment. \r\n \r\n\r\nAny MLF team member interested in being considered for this role are encouraged to apply online by October 21. Applications received beyond that date are not guaranteed consideration.\r\n \r\n\r\nReason for vacancy:  Existing Headcount \r\nBase Salary:   $71,000 - $103,000 CAD base pay annually\r\n \r\n\r\nThe above base salary reflects the target compensation for the position at the time of posting. The base salary offered may vary based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, education, training, job- related knowledge, and other organizational requirements. For part-time roles, salaries are adjusted according to scheduled hours.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSnapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tEstablishment of Labour Standards – Measure, document, track, and update standards to ensure the correct costing of labour, packaging, and raw materials at our production facilities\r\n\tMaster Capacity Planning – Lead the planning and management of MLF’s manufacturing capacities with the Supply Chain and the Commercial teams                  \r\n\tProduct Development – Provide manufacturing insight (cost, capacity, capability) on product development / innovation opportunities for all business units    \r\n\tProcess Optimization – Line balancing, labour optimization, line debottlenecking, and waste elimination using IE tools like time studies, job analysis, and simulations  \r\n\tStrategic Initiatives – Provide objective and analytical guidance to support the organization’s sustainable growth \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat You’ll Bring:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tIndustrial Engineering (or equivalent) degree at a recognized post-secondary institution\r\n\tProfessional Engineering Designation (or eligibility)\r\n\t3 to 5+ years of relevant industrial experience (CPG, Food & Beverage, or high-speed manufacturing preferred), fundamental understanding of manufacturing required\r\n\tPractical experience with Industrial Engineering tools such as Labour Standards, Methods Analysis, Time Studies, and Line Balancing                                                         \r\n\tKnowledge of Sales & Operational Planning, Capacity Planning, Economical Order Quantity strategies\r\n\tOrganized and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities                           \r\n\tAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data management\r\n\tExperience with dynamic modelling and simulation                                                            \r\n\tTechnical curiosity and a questioning attitude                                                                     \r\n\tDeveloped communication & interpersonal skills      \r\n\tContinuous Improvement mindset\r\n\tExperience with SAP and SAP IBP an asset\r\n\tKnowledge of Microsoft Power BI an asset\r\n\tProject management experience and/or certification an asset\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat We Offer at Maple Leaf Foods:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBeing part of a high-performance, people-focused company that has an inspiring and unique vision to become the most sustainable protein company on earth, and a deep commitment to sustainable protein across North America.\r\n\tAn inclusive company culture and a work environment that keeps our people safe, rewards excellence, and empowers everyone to learn and contribute their best. \r\n\tCompetitive Health and Wellness benefits that offer flexibility to meet your individual or family needs, including programs focused on improving mental health and wellbeing.
