Insulation & Interior Systems Installers

• Wellington-based | Full-time | Permanent
• All Trades Contract Services (ATCS) is looking for 4 x Insulation & Interior Systems Installers to join our client's team on a full time, permanent basis.
• The Insulation & Interior Systems Installer is responsible for measuring, preparing, cutting, fitting and mechanically fixing insulation and interior building systems on residential and commercial construction projects throughout Wellington.
• Duties:
• Read and follow construction drawings, measurements, specifications and installation instructions.
• Measure, mark, cut, fit and install insulation materials to walls, ceilings and other building elements.
• Install PIR and other rigid insulation panels and associated components.
• Measure, cut, position and fix GIB/plasterboard to walls and ceilings.
• Carry out plastering, stopping, patching and preparation work.
• Measure, cut and install timber and metal strapping and battens.
• Install Rondo and similar light-gauge steel framing, ceiling and suspension systems.
• Measure, cut, drill, position and mechanically fix steel and aluminum components.
• Install brackets, anchors, screws, bolts and other mechanical fixing systems.
• Undertake carpentry tasks associated with installation work, including measuring, cutting, drilling, levelling, packing, fixing and fitting.
• Use levels and measuring equipment to ensure installations are straight, level, plumb and correctly positioned.
• Identify appropriate fixing and installation methods for different substrates and materials.
• Safely operate drills, impact drivers, saws, grinders and other construction hand and power tools.
• Check completed installations for alignment, secure fixing, finish and compliance with project requirements.
• Rectify minor installation defects
• Undertake finishing work where required.
• Coordinate work with supervisors and other trades on site.
• Handle, move and safely store insulation, panels, plasterboard, framing and associated construction materials.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Comply with company and site-specific health and safety requirements.
• Minimum Job Requirements

Minimum 3 years' relevant experience

• Full-time, permanent employment, with work scheduled Monday to Saturday depending on project and client requirements.
• Remuneration of $28 - $33 per hour depending on experience
• Minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week
